Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Denton Broncos (Denton, TX) and the visiting Ryan Raiders (Denton, TX), saw Denton's basketball squad hold off Ryan by a tally of 58-51.

With the victory, Denton improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Broncos host Grapevine (Grapevine, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a 5A Region I District 7 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Grapevine won 75-65 in their recent league challenge against Lake Dallas (Corinth, TX)

Next up, the Raiders confront the Argyle Eagles (Argyle, TX) in a 5A Region I District 7 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Ryan will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 54-48 league loss to Birdville (North Richland Hills, TX).
