Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Fike Demons (Wilson, NC) and the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), saw Fike's basketball squad knock off Smithfield-Selma by a tally of 54-39.

With the victory, Fike improves its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Demons host C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC) to play the Golden Falcons in a 3A Conference 21 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Golden Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. C.B. Aycock won 55-47 in their recent league challenge against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC)

Next up, the Spartans play the Princeton Bulldogs (Princeton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Smithfield-Selma will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record.
