Nebraska High School Basketball - Freeman overwhelms Southern
January 3, 2023: Adams, NE 68301 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Freeman Falcons (Adams, NE) and the visiting Southern Raiders (Wymore, NE), saw Freeman's basketball squad wallop Southern by a tally of 72-31.
With the victory, Freeman improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Johnson County Central (Tecumseh, NE) to confront the Thunderbirds in a C2 District 1 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 5-4.
Next up, the Raiders confront the Friend Bulldogs (Friend, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Southern will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 67-43 non-league loss to Tri County (DeWitt, NE).
