Michigan High School Basketball - Hastings knocked off by Ionia
January 3, 2023: Hastings, MI 49058 The Ionia Bulldogs basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Hastings Saxons to 35 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Portland for a Capital Area - White contest on Friday, January 6. Ionia will meet a Raiders team coming off a 63-52 non-league loss to St. Johns (St. Johns, MI). The Raiders record now stands at 2-3.
The Saxons (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI). The Beavers enter the Interstate Eight contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Harper Creek was outscored by Lakeview (Battle Creek, MI), 51-45, in a non-league contest.
