The Washburn Rural Blues basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Junction City Bluejays to 58 in the Blues league triumph on Tuesday.

The Blues now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hayden for a Centennial contest on Friday, January 6. Washburn Rural will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 59-52 non-league loss to Emporia (Emporia, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-2.

The Bluejays (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Manhattan (Manhattan, KS). The Indians enter the Centennial contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Manhattan was nudged by Kapaun Mt. Carmel (Wichita, KS), 70-52, in a non-league contest.
