January 3, 2023: Saugus, MA 01906 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Marblehead Magicians (Marblehead, MA) and the host Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA), saw Marblehead's basketball squad overcome Saugus by a tally of 75-56.
With the victory, Marblehead improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Magicians host Swampscott (Swampscott, MA) to play the Big Blue in a Northeastern - Small challenge on Friday, January 13. The Big Blue come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Swampscott won 60-46 in their recent league challenge against Danvers (Danvers, MA)
Next up, the Sachems play the Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA) in a Northeastern - Small challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Saugus will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Fishermen come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 73-66 league loss to Winthrop (Winthrop, MA).
