Virginia High School Basketball - Salem nudges Norcom
January 3, 2023: Virginia Beach, VA 23464 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Salem Sundevils (Virginia Beach, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA), by a margin of 55-50.
The Sundevils (2-7) will now prepare for their outing against Kempsville (Virginia Beach, VA). The Chiefs go into the Beach outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, Kempsville held off Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA), 71-55, in a non-league outing.
The Greyhounds now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Maury for a Eastern outing on Friday, January 6. Norcom will clash with a Commodores squad coming off a 60-39 non-league win over Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Commodores record now stands at 6-1.
