The Spruce Timberwolves basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Poteet Pirates to 40 in the Timberwolves league victory on Tuesday.

The Timberwolves now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seagoville for a 5A Region II District 12 contest on Friday, January 6. Spruce will battle a Dragons team coming off a 48-45 league loss to Adams (Dallas, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 5-10.
