Maine High School Basketball - Cape Elizabeth fells Poland
January 3, 2023: Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107 Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Poland Knights (Poland, ME), 36-22 in a league bout.
With the win, Cape Elizabeth upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Capers travel to Fryeburg (Fryeburg, ME) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Fryeburg lost 53-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME)
Next up, the Knights play the Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Poland will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 47-21 non-league loss to Lake Region (Naples, ME).
