Michigan High School Basketball - Houghton overwhelms Iron Mountain
January 3, 2023: Houghton, MI 49931 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI) and the visiting Iron Mountain Mountaineers (Iron Mountain, MI), saw Houghton's basketball squad wallop Iron Mountain by a tally of 75-50.
With the victory, Houghton improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Gremlins host Baraga (Baraga, MI) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 6-0. Baraga won 69-44 in their recent league challenge against L'Anse (L'Anse, MI)
Next up, the Mountaineers confront the Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula challenge, on Friday, January 6. Iron Mountain will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Miners come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 54-30 non-league win over Boyne City (Boyne City, MI).
