Michigan High School Basketball - Hancock holds off Houghton
February 9, 2023: Hancock, MI 49930 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) and the visiting Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI), saw Hancock's basketball squad hold off Houghton by a tally of 36-29.
With the victory, Hancock improves its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Westwood (Ishpeming, MI) to confront the Patriots in a Western Peninsula challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 2-12.
Next up, the Gremlins confront the Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI) in a Western Peninsula challenge, on Monday, February 13. Houghton will attempt to improve on its 14-2 season record. The Copper Kings come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 59-57 non-league win over Escanaba (Escanaba, MI).
