The Purnell Swett Rams basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Jack Britt Buccaneers to 58 in the Rams league triumph on Tuesday.

The Rams now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scotland for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 5. Purnell Swett will meet a Fighting Scots team coming off a 54-42 league win over Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Fighting Scots record now stands at 6-5.

The Buccaneers (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC). The Falcons enter the 3A/4A Conference 22 contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Seventy-First was outscored by Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC), 69-26, in a league contest.
