Illinois High School Basketball - Loyola Academy nips Trinity
January 3, 2023: Wilmette, IL 60091 Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Trinity Blazers (River Forest, IL), 40-34 in a league bout.
With the victory, Loyola Academy upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Ramblers travel to Sandburg (Orland Park, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 11-6.
Next up, the Blazers play the Payton College Prep Grizzlies (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Trinity will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 61-38 non-league loss to Trinity (River Forest, IL).
