In Tuesday's league match, the host Upper Merion Area Vikings basketball team scored a tight 32-31 triumph over the Phoenixville Phantoms.

In their next game, the Vikings meet the Pottsgrove Falcons (Pottsgrove, PA) in a Pioneer match, on Thursday, January 5. Upper Merion Area will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record.
