New Mexico High School Basketball - Crownpoint can't hold off Laguna Acoma
January 3, 2023: New Laguna, NM 87007 The Laguna Acoma Hawks basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Crownpoint Eagles to 53 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hawks now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Robertson for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Laguna Acoma will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 90-13 non-league win over Tucumcari (Tucumcari, NM). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-1.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM). The Horsemen enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, St. Michael's nudged Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM), 44-39, in a non-league contest.
