The McIntosh Chiefs basketball team (Peachtree City, GA), was nudged 58-54 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting East Coweta Indians (Sharpsburg, GA)

The Indians now possess a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carrollton for a AAAAAAA Region 2 battle on Friday, January 5. East Coweta will confront a Trojans team coming off a 54-46 non-league win over South Gwinnett (Snellville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 8-3.

The Chiefs (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against Northgate (Newnan, GA). The Vikings come into the AAAAA Region 3 battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Northgate edged New Manchester (Douglasville, GA), 69-65, in a non-league battle.
