January 3, 2024: LaPlace, LA 70068 The St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) basketball knocked off the visiting South Lafourche Tarpons (Galliano, LA), 52-36 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Comets (8-2) will now prepare for their test against St. James (St. James, LA). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, St. James notched a victory over New Orleans Charter Science & Math (New Orleans, LA), 60-47, in a non-league test.
The Tarpons now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to New Orleans Charter Science & Math for a non-league test on Thursday, January 4. South Lafourche will encounter a Chambered Nautilus squad coming off a 60-47 non-league loss to St. James (St. James, LA). The Chambered Nautilus record now stands at 4-12.
