Virginia High School Basketball - Charlottesville overwhelms Goochland
January 3, 2024: Charlottesville, VA 22901 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA) and the visiting Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA), saw Charlottesville's basketball squad wallop Goochland by a tally of 77-12.
With the victory, Charlottesville improves its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Black Knights host New Kent (New Kent, VA) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. New Kent lost 59-53 in their recent league challenge against Warhill (Williamsburg, VA)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Friday, January 5. Goochland will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 71-45 league loss to Monticello (Charlottesville, VA).
