Washington High School Basketball - Granite Falls nips University Prep

Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Granite Falls Tigers (Granite Falls, WA) and the host University Prep Pumas (Seattle, WA), saw Granite Falls's basketball squad hold off University Prep by a tally of 49-42.

With the victory, Granite Falls improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Tigers host Bear Creek (Redmond, WA) to play the Grizzlies in a 1A Emerald Sound challenge on Friday, January 5. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Bear Creek won 47-33 in their recent league challenge against South Whidbey (Langley, WA)

Next up, the Pumas play the Forest Ridge Sacred Heart Raven (Bellevue, WA) in a 1A Emerald Sound challenge, on Thursday, January 4. University Prep will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Raven come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 40-12 league loss to Eastside Prep (Kirkland, WA).
