The Smoky Mountain Mustangs basketball team (Sylva, NC), dropped 58-41 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC)

The Knights now possess a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tuscola for a 3A Mountain 7 battle on Friday, January 5. North Henderson will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 62-50 non-league loss to Palmetto Christian Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 3-8.

The Mustangs (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Falcons come into the 3A Mountain 7 battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, West Henderson dropped by Chapman (Inman, SC), 58-45, in a non-league battle.
