Nevada High School Basketball - Pershing County fells Yerington

January 3, 2024: Yerington, NV 89447

Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Yerington Lions (Yerington, NV), 38-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Pershing County upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Mustangs host North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA) to play the Lakers in a 2A Northern bout on Friday, January 5. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 8-2. North Tahoe won 38-17 in their recent league bout against Yerington (Yerington, NV)

Next up, the Lions play the Oasis Academy Bighorns (Fallon, NV) in a 2A Northern bout, on Friday, January 5. Yerington will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Bighorns go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 43-14 league win over Incline (Incline Village, NV).
