Louisiana High School Basketball - Albany nips St. Charles Catholic
January 3, 2025: LaPlace, LA 70068 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Albany Hornets (Albany, LA) and the host St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA), observed Albany's basketball team edge St. Charles Catholic by a margin of 53-51.
The Hornets (26-12) will now prepare for their challenge against St. John (Plaquemine, LA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 7-7 record. In their last challenge, St. John edged Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA), 47-43, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Comets battle the Teurlings Catholic Rebels (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. St. Charles Catholic will attempt to better on its 12-11 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 42-35 non-league win over Lutcher (Lutcher, LA).
