January 3, 2025: Newport, AR 72112 The Newport Greyhounds (Newport, AR) basketball were winner over the visiting Bald Knob Bulldogs (Bald Knob, AR), 71-55 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Greyhounds now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they host Carlisle for a non-league bout on Monday, January 6.
With the loss, Bald Knob falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Harding Academy (Searcy, AR) to play the Wildcats in a 3A Region 6 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-5.
