Arkansas High School Basketball - Concord overwhelms Newport
November 26, 2024: Concord, AR 72523 The Concord Pirates basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Newport Greyhounds to 26 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Tuckerman for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 3. Concord will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-47 non-league win over Manila (Manila, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, Newport falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Shirley (Shirley, AR) to confront the Blue Devils in a non-league game on Monday, December 2. The Blue Devils go into the game with a record of 0-10. Shirley lost 66-33 in their recent non-league game against Rose Bud (Rose Bud, AR)
