Texas High School Basketball - Era holds off Chico

January 3, 2025: Chico, TX 76431

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Era Hornets basketball team scored a close 60-59 triumph over the Chico Dragons.

The Hornets (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Slidell (Slidell, TX). The Greyhounds go into the 2A Region II District 13 contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Slidell nipped Lindsay (Lindsay, TX), 79-51, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Dragons confront the Muenster Hornets (Muenster, TX) in a 2A Region II District 13 contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Chico will attempt to better on its 11-11 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 43-31 league win over Tioga (Tioga, TX).
