January 3, 2025: Rutledge, TN 37861 The Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN) basketball were winner over the visiting Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN), 68-59 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Grizzlies now possess a 3-9 record. They play next when they host Northview Academy for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Grainger will play a Cougars team coming off a 69-59 non-league loss to Taylor (Cleves, OH). The Cougars record now stands at 11-6.
With the loss, Union County falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap, TN) to play the Panthers in a 3A District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Cumberland Gap won 58-50 in their recent non-league bout against Oliver Springs (Oliver Springs, TN)
