Great Bend Panthers (Great Bend, KS) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Liberal Redskins (Liberal, KS), 89-42 in a league match.

With the victory, Great Bend upgrades its record to 6-1 on the year. The Panthers host Garden City (Garden City, KS) to face the Buffaloes in a Western match on Friday, January 10. The Buffaloes enter the match with a record of 2-4. Garden City lost 77-52 in their recent non-league match against Hooker (Hooker, OK)

The Redskins now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodward for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. Liberal will face a Boomers squad coming off a 83-79 non-league loss to Dodge City (Dodge City, KS). The Boomers record now stands at 2-4.
