With the victory, McCook Central/Montrose advances its record to 5-3 on the year. The Fighting Cougars host Scotland/Menno (Menno, SD) to meet the Trappers in a A Region 5 battle on Monday, January 6. The Trappers enter the battle with a record of 1-3. The Wildkats now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tripp-Delmont/Armour for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 7. Kimball/White Lake will meet a Nighthawks squad coming off a 68-34 non-league win over Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD). The Nighthawks record now stands at 2-2.
