The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots basketball squad (Troy, AL), was crushed 76-44 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Samson Tigers (Samson, AL)

With the victory, Samson advances its record to 6-8 on the year. The Tigers travel to Geneva County (Hartford, AL) to meet the Bulldogs in a 2A Area 2 battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 2-11. Geneva County lost 82-31 in their recent league battle against Providence Christian (Dothan, AL)

The Patriots now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glenwood for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 4. Pike Liberal Arts will meet a Gators squad coming off a 71-51 non-league win over Northside Methodist Academy (Dothan, AL). The Gators record now stands at 12-5.
