North Carolina High School Basketball - North Rowan thwarts Carson

January 3, 2025: China Grove, NC 28023

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC) and the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), observed North Rowan's basketball team knock off Carson by a score of 43-27.

The Cavaliers (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against West Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Dragons come into the 1A/2A Central Carolina challenge with a 3-10 record. In their last challenge, West Davidson dropped by Lexington (Lexington, NC), 60-46, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Carson will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Spiders come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 68-26 league loss to Robinson (Concord, NC).
