The Carson Cougars basketball squad (China Grove, NC), was outscored 58-44 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC)

With the victory, East Rowan advances its record to 16-4 on the year. The Mustangs host South Rowan (China Grove, NC) to meet the Raiders in a 3A South Piedmont battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Raiders enter the battle with a record of 7-12. South Rowan lost 58-46 in their recent league battle against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC)

The Cougars now own a 4-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robinson for a 3A South Piedmont test on Friday, January 31. Carson will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 64-20 league win over West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-4.
