In Friday's league test, the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) basketball squad trounced the host South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC), by a final score of 49-26.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont test, on Tuesday, January 7. East Rowan will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 8-4 record after their 66-55 league win over Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC).

The Raiders (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Carson (China Grove, NC). The Cougars come into the 3A South Piedmont test with a 2-11 record. In their last test, Carson was overwhelmed by Concord (Concord, NC), 54-52, in a league test.
