North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Cabarrus succumbs to East Rowan

In Friday's league test, the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) basketball squad defeated the host Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC), by a score of 63-48.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont test, on Tuesday, January 28. East Rowan will attempt to improve on its 15-4 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 4-15 record after their 62-53 league win over West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC).

The Vikings (7-11) will now prepare for their bout against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 4-14 record. In their last bout, East Mecklenburg fell by Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 58-47, in a league bout.
