The Derby Panthers bounced the visiting South Cougars basketball squad by a final score of 48-16 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Panthers clash with the Valley Center Hornets (Valley Center, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I outing, on Tuesday, January 7. Derby will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Hornets enter the outing with a 3-2 record after their 46-36 non-league win over Salina Central (Salina, KS).
