The Sandpoint Bulldogs basketball squad (Sandpoint, ID), was nudged 44-39 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Hillcrest Knights (Idaho Falls, ID)

With the victory, Hillcrest advances its record to 8-5 on the year. The Knights host Mead (Longmont, CO) to meet the Mavericks in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 4. The Mavericks enter the battle with a record of 8-1. Mead lost 54-39 in their recent non-league battle against Middleton (Middleton, ID)

The Bulldogs now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakeland for a 5A High Country battle on Tuesday, January 7. Sandpoint will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 36-35 non-league loss to Grangeville (Grangeville, ID). The Hawks record now stands at 6-3.
