January 3, 2025: Sulphur, LA 70663 Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Jennings Bulldogs (Jennings, LA), 59-25 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Sulphur advances its record to 14-1 on the year. The Golden Tors travel to Barbe (Lake Charles, LA) to face the Buccaneers in a 5A District 3 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 16-2. Barbe won 49-48 in their recent non-league match against Rosepine (Rosepine, LA)
The Bulldogs now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Welsh for a non-league match on Monday, January 6. Jennings will face a Greyhounds squad coming off a 57-20 non-league loss to Kinder (Kinder, LA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 4-8.
