Texas High School Basketball - Skidmore-Tynan can't hold off Kenedy
January 3, 2025: Kenedy, TX 78119 Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats (Skidmore, TX), 40-38 in a league match.
With the victory, Kenedy advances its record to 8-11 on the year. The Lions travel to Pettus (Pettus, TX) to face the Eagles in a 2A Region IV District 31 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 8-13. Pettus won 42-35 in their recent league match against Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX)
The Bobcats now own a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Yorktown for a 2A Region IV District 31 match on Tuesday, January 7. Skidmore-Tynan will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 41-34 league loss to Port Aransas (Port Aransas, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-9.
