Wisconsin High School Basketball - Ladysmith victorious over Mellen
January 3, 2025: Mellen, WI 54546 In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Ladysmith Lumberjacks basketball team scored a good 43-33 triumph over the Mellen Granite Diggers.
The Lumberjacks (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Turtle Lake (Turtle Lake, WI). The Lakers enter the non-league battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Turtle Lake was outscored by Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI), 42-31, in a non-league battle.
The Granite Diggers now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lac Courte Oreilles for a Northern Lights battle on Tuesday, January 7. Mellen will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 42-28 league win over Bayfield (Bayfield, WI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-7.
