Arkansas High School Basketball - Morrilton holds off Star City
January 3, 2025: Morrilton, AR 72110 The Morrilton Devil Dogs basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Star City Bulldogs to 44 in the Devil Dogs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Devil Dogs now possess a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Clinton for a 4A Region 5 North game on Tuesday, January 7. Morrilton will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 70-35 non-league loss to Dumas (Dumas, AR). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 7-11.
With the loss, Star City falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Stuttgart (Stuttgart, AR) to confront the Ricebirds in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Ricebirds go into the game with a record of 11-7. Stuttgart lost 60-40 in their recent non-league game against West Memphis (West Memphis, AR)
