South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), 84-23 in a league match.

With the victory, South Central upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Falcons host North Pitt (Bethel, NC) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 8. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 4-8.

The Bears now sport a 3-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside - Jacksonville for a 3A/4A Big Carolina match on Tuesday, January 7. New Bern will face a Monarchs squad coming off a 56-37 league win over J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC). The Monarchs record now stands at 5-3.
