With the victory, John Battle upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Abingdon (Abingdon, VA) to face the Falcons in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 7-0. Abingdon won 26-18 in their recent non-league match against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA)
The Blue Devils now sport a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastside for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Gate City will face a Spartans squad coming off a 49-29 non-league loss to Lee (Jonesville, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-1.
