Iowa High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon tops Marion
January 30, 2023: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) and the visiting Marion Wolves (Marion, IA), saw Mt. Vernon's basketball squad knock off Marion by a tally of 65-52.
With the victory, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to play the Spartans in a WAMAC - East challenge on Friday, February 3. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Solon won 50-38 in their recent league challenge against West Delaware (Manchester, IA)
Next up, the Wolves play the Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA) in a WAMAC - West challenge, on Friday, February 3. Marion will attempt to advance on its 12-5 season record.
