Maryland High School Basketball - Rising Sun overwhelms North East
January 30, 2023: North East, MD 21901 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Rising Sun Tigers (North East, MD) and the visiting North East Indians (North East, MD), saw Rising Sun's basketball squad wallop North East by a tally of 69-39.
With the victory, Rising Sun improves its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Elkton (Elkton, MD) to play the Golden Elks in a Upper Chesapeake Bay - Chesapeake challenge on Monday, February 13. The Golden Elks come into the challenge with a record of 6-11.
Next up, the Indians play the Broadneck Bruins (Annapolis, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. North East will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 65-50 league loss to South River (Edgewater, MD).
