New Mexico High School Basketball - Los Lunas overwhelms Capital
January 30, 2024: Santa Fe, NM 87505 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM) and the host Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM), saw Los Lunas's basketball squad wallop Capital by a count of 66-35.
With the victory, Los Lunas upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Ravens in a 5A District 5 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Ravens come into the challenge with a record of 5-12. Rio Grande lost 59-52 in their recent league challenge against Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Jaguars play the Santa Fe Demons (Santa Fe, NM) in a 5A District 5 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Capital will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Demons come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 59-53 league win over Manzano (Albuquerque, NM).
