The Catholic-B.R. Bears (Baton Rouge, LA) basketball knocked off the host East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), 61-51 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Bears (12-12) will now prepare for their test against Liberty Magnet (Baton Rouge, LA). The Patriots go into the 5A District 4 test with a 23-4 record. In their last test, Liberty Magnet went down by Newman (New Orleans, LA), 53-51, in a non-league test.
