Louisiana High School Basketball - Wossman tops Catholic-B.R.
December 23, 2023: Monroe, LA 71202 Wossman Wildcats (Monroe, LA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Catholic-B.R. Bears (Baton Rouge, LA), 72-58 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Wossman upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Richwood (Monroe, LA) to play the Rams in a 3A District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Richwood won 59-58 in their recent non-league bout against Rayville (Rayville, LA)
Next up, the Bears play the Port Allen Pelicans (Port Allen, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Catholic-B.R. will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Pelicans come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 64-58 non-league win over Amite (Amite, LA).
