January 30, 2024: Drummond, WI 54832 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Drummond Lumberjacks (Drummond, WI) and the visiting Mellen Granite Diggers (Mellen, WI), saw Drummond's basketball squad overcome Mellen by a tally of 68-55.
With the victory, Drummond improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Athens (Athens, WI) to play the Bluejays in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a record of 6-10. Athens lost 65-52 in their recent league challenge against Phillips (Phillips, WI)
Next up, the Granite Diggers play the Hurley Northstars (Hurley, WI) in a Northern Lights challenge, on Friday, February 2. Mellen will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Northstars come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 53-35 non-league loss to Three Lakes (Three Lakes, WI).
