January 30, 2024: Latexo, TX 75849 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Grapeland Sandies (Grapeland, TX) and the host Latexo Tigers (Latexo, TX), saw Grapeland's basketball squad wallop Latexo by a count of 87-39.
With the victory, Grapeland upgrades its record to 20-10 on the campaign. The Sandies host Lovelady (Lovelady, TX) to play the Lions in a 2A Region III District 20 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Lovelady won 64-43 in their recent league challenge against Leon (Jewett, TX)
Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Centerville Tigers (Centerville, TX) in a 2A Region III District 20 battle, on Friday, February 2. Latexo will attempt to improve on its 11-18 season record. The Tigers come into the battle with a 19-6 record after their 65-42 league win over Groveton (Groveton, TX).
