January 30, 2024: Greensburg, PA 15601 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils (Pittsburgh, PA) and the host Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA), saw Mt. Lebanon's basketball squad overcome Hempfield Area by a tally of 64-49.
With the victory, Mt. Lebanon improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA) to confront the Panthers in a WPIAL 6A 2 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 13-3. Upper St. Clair won 68-30 in their recent league challenge against Norwin (North Huntingdon, PA)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Canon-McMillan Big Macs (Canonsburg, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 2 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Hempfield Area will attempt to improve on its 4-15 season record.
