The Shields Panthers basketball team (Beatrice, AL), was nudged 52-51 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting McKenzie Tigers (McKenzie, AL)

The Tigers now possess a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brantley for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 1. McKenzie will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 54-52 league loss to Elba (Elba, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-8.
